We are a secluded country-style log lodge that has been offering a home away from home to guests since 1995. Antique, vintage and contemporary furnishings are artfully blended to create an interesting and casual lodging experience.
Situated on nearly 70 beautiful acres near Spring Green, Wisconsin, the inn offers the perfect venue for a special event, retreat, or romantic getaway. The Silver Star Bed & Breakfast Inn is only a few minute's drive to American Player’s Theatre, Frank Lloyd Wright’s Taliesin, and the unique House on The Rock. Outdoor enthusiasts will enjoy hiking at Governor Dodge State Park, Tower Hill State Park, and the Spring Green Preserve.

Located in the heart of the Driftless Area, we are just 10 minutes away from American Player’s Theatre, House on the Rock, and Taliesin. For outdoor enthusiasts, Governor Dodge State Park, the Spring Green Nature Preserve, and the Wisconsin River are all easily accessible.

The inn is the perfect place for your next reunion or retreat. The ten guest rooms can accommodate up to 28 guests, and the plentiful common areas offer comfortable seating for any type of group. Move your party outdoors under our covered front porch, on the wrap-around deck, or around a bonfire on the patio.

The Driftless Area offers a unique terrain of rock outcroppings, washes, meadows, woods and scenic bluffs. While at the Silver Star Bed & Breakfast Inn, put on your hiking boots and explore our 70+ diverse acres. Our many trails provide a sampling of the matchless beauty of the area without leaving our property.

- Beautiful, Peaceful and RelaxingThis was our first visit to The Silver Star B and B and I can say it won't be our last. The property is absolutely beautiful, peaceful and relaxing. The hosts, Kevin and Elise greet you with a warm welcome and fresh bakery. And they have great tips on what to see and do in the area. The breakfast was amazing, using fresh ingredients from their property. The rooms/beds are very comfortable and with a full Inn it was not loud or too busy. Everyone was so friendly. I would highly recommend staying here and in any season. Thank you Kevin and Elise for your warm hospitality!!
- Exceptional LocationExceptional location high on a hill in the Driftless area of Wisconsin. A beautiful log home with wonderful amenities. Perfect sized couples bedrooms, large cozy sitting area with a fireplace, inviting dining area, wonderful breakfasts with eggs from the backyard hens, multiple hiking or snowshoeing trails, gardens, and fresh warm cookies in the afternoon. Lots to investigate in the area. Elise and Kevin are warm and welcoming hosts. Would unhesitatingly recommend to travelers.
- A Truly Magical StayI had a truly magical stay. It was so cozy, peaceful, and straight out of a Hallmark movie. Impeccable service (6/5 stars if I could!), lovely rooms, beautiful walking paths, apple trees, chicken coops, and a stunning view over the bluff. The whole experience warmed my soul, and I’ll remember it for a long time!
